Childhood

Dr. Joe Dalino was born in troubled Mindanao, Southern Philippines. He did not have an enchanted childhood, as there were 16 of them in the family. His father and mother worked in the kaingin (hills). They were slash-burn farmers. It was a hard life, indeed! It was in Matlong, Banga, South Cotabato that he grew up with playmates who were B'laans, hardworking mountain people, and rub elbows with Muslim classmates in Lamba, Banga, South Cotabato. To survive life he finally found himself in the streets of Marbel now Koronadal City, the street was his school of foolish deeds. He learned to be really bad for the sake of survival. In 1966 he heard the Gospel through the evangelistic crusade of Dr. Greg Tingson in Koronadal City, and saw himself as a real poor sinner and literally dirty but the love and grace of God change him.

Education

When he heard the call into the ministry, he enrolled at the Ebenezer Bible College and Seminary and went to school as a working student and graduated with a Bachelor of Ministerial Studies degree in 1976. In 1982 he graduated with a Master of Divinity (M. Div.) degree from Asian Theological Seminary, Quezon City, and earned a Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) degree at Union Theological Seminary, Cavite in 1992. Dr. Dalino graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy, (PhD) degree at the Philippine Christian University, Manila. He also did his Doctor of Pastoral Studies (DPS) Degree at the South East Asia Graduate School of Theology, St. Andrews Theological Seminary.

Family Life

He is married to the former Joan Diana Dee, a Chinese national and a Guidance Counselor who founded the Pastoral Care Center in 2001 with a passion to care for Pastors and their families. God bless them with two sons; JR (Jose Jr.) eldest is a BS Electronics Communications Engineering graduate from Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon City and took his Master in Business Administration at the National University, San Diego, CA, USA. He is a License Electronics Engineer. He is married to Syrah Marcelo a registered nurse. God bless them with a two years and eleven months old daughter Camila Elysse “Ellie”. Jemuel the youngest is a BS Information Communication Technology Management graduate from De La Salle University, Manila. He is a Senior Software Engineer, and currently finishing his Masters Degree in Information Technology at Ateneo de Manila University. In October 2011, JR & Jem started Wikonec, Inc., an IT company based at, UP Diliman, Quezon City.

Ministry Experience

First Sunday of August 1970 when Joe Dalino was asked by Rev. Gordon Strong his teacher in Evangelism at Ebenezer Bible College to preach for the first time at Mercedes Evangelical Church in Zamboanga City, 9 people came forward to receive Jesus Christ and two became pastors. He then started serving as Student Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Evangelist. In 1980, he was ordained as Minister of the Gospel. In May 1994, he was appointed Evangelist-at-Large of CAMACOP until May 2001, where he was elected President. In July 2001, he was vested with a lifetime title as Bishop with the Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines, (CAMACOP), the highest ecclesiastical title vested to a national church leader in the Philippines being a dominant Roman Catholic nation in Asia. During his term he led CAMACOP out of the culture of financial deficit and spearheaded the planting of 436 new churches, under “HARVEST 500 BY 2005”. In July 2005, he was confirmed as International Evangelist by CAMACOP National Board of Trustees to serve the Body of Christ worldwide. He then served in partnership with International Bible Conference and Oakridge Ministries, under the leadership of Rev. Brian Ball. From May 1983 to April 1994, for 11 years, Dr. Dalino served as a CAMACOP loan worker with Ambassadors for Christ International with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia as National Director in the Philippines, and Regional Coordinator for AFC International North Pacific Region. He also served on their International Council. In the past four decades, Dr. Dalino and wife Gigi has traveled extensively in Asia, the Pacific, Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States.

Dr. Dalino also serves as Professor in the Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Missiology program at Philippine Christian University, Manila, Philippines. From 1994 he served as adjunct professor in the Doctor of Ministry Program at Union Theological Seminary, Manila PCU Extension and also an adjunct professor at the Alliance Graduate School, Quezon City, Philippines (formerly Alliance Biblical Seminary).

Since 1994, Dr. Dalino has directed International Bible Conference, working with associations of churches and other mission organizations throughout the Philippines and Asia. As a gifted and called Evangelist, Joe has been used by God to bring thousands into the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as the training of rural and tribal pastors. He has been used by God to minister and pray with the President, Senators, Congressman, Governors, Mayors and other government officials. Dr. Joe and Gigi are greatly sought-after as resource speakers on Marriage and Family Life Seminars. They have conducted Family Life Seminars in Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Europe and the United States. Joe travels as an Evangelist and also as a resource person on “Functional Leadership & Management, Organizational Development & Transformation as well as Strategic Planning. ”

In 1986, Dr. Joe was introduced by Rev. Larry Ferguson to Rev. Brian Ball at the Master's Inn Christian Retreat Center in Altavista, Virginia. Since then, Pastor Ball and Dr. Dalino have been partners in the ministry. In January 1999, Brian began to coordinate his ministry schedules in the US. Funds given for Dr. Dalino's ministry through International Bible Conference (IBC), Oakridge Ministries, are tax-deductible.

Dr. Dalino has served the Lord for the past 44 years, as Pastor, Evangelist, Professor and Bishop. He and his wife traveled extensively in Asia, the Pacific, Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States as a resource speaker.

He serves as President of International Bible Conference, President of The Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines (CAMACOP). Member of the Board of Trustees of Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches in the Philippines (PCEC), a member of the Board of Trustees of Philippine Relief and Development Services (PHILRADS), a member of the Board of Trustees of the Alliance Graduate School, (AGS) a member of the Board of Trustees of Philippine Student Alliance Lay Movement (PSALM), a member of the Board of Trustees of Kabuhayan para sa Maunlad na Buhay (KMBI), a member of the Board of Trustees of Ebenezer Bible College and Seminary, (EBCS).
