| Dr. Joe Dalino was born in troubled Mindanao, Southern Philippines. He did not have an enchanted childhood, as there were 16 of them in the family. His father and mother worked in the kaingin (hills). They were slash-burn farmers. It was a hard life, indeed! It was in Banga, South Cotabato that he grew up with playmates who were B'laans, hard working mountain people. Dr. Dalino had to stop studying because of poverty. From then on, he helped earn for the family. The street was his school of foolish deeds. |
